Racconti & Suoni comprises at least ten animated musical readings held in nurseries, schools, town squares and libraries across Italy and Slovenia. The programme is designed to engage the educational community and instil in children a love of reading and music, by taking the performances to a variety of settings and creating an interactive experience for everyone present. The readings are presented and performed by young people trained as part of the programme "La voce: strumento senza confini" ("The Voice: An Instrument Without Borders"), who thus put into practice the work they have undertaken during their training.
Some events have already taken place in recent months, whilst others are scheduled for later this year. The programme includes a session for children and young people with special needs at the Kozara School in Nova Gorica, and two events to be held at the Glasbena šola theatre hall and the France Bevk Library, both in Nova Gorica.
Around forty children are expected to take part in each reading session at the schools, bringing the estimated total number of participants across the entire programme to around four hundred.
