The Fair was an event of international significance dedicated to children, families and the general public: two days during which children’s literature brought the cross-border area to life with all its wonders. The appeal of this event, and what made it unique, lay in its distinctly cross-border nature. Organised with the support and active participation of the leading Italian and Slovenian publishers of children’s literature, and with the backing of the main distributors, the Fair hosted multilingual stands dedicated to the display of books and picture books. Children, families and members of the public from both Italy and Slovenia were thus given direct and facilitated access to children’s literature from across the border, in a moment of unprecedented cross-border cultural sharing and enjoyment.
Storytelling sessions and entertainment for children and families, with the participation of students who have taken part in the training courses. The voice: an instrument without boundaries.
Art workshops, led by illustrators, which engaged children, families and members of the public in hands-on activities designed to explore the methods and techniques of illustration.
Participants were able to experiment with various art materials and learn new drawing techniques under the expert guidance of the illustrators, in an interactive and educational experience for everyone present.
The Fair was not only an opportunity to explore the world of children’s literature, but also a place where children, families and enthusiasts of all ages could meet and share experiences. Thanks to its inclusive and engaging nature, the event left a lasting impression on all those who attended.
